Overview

Eight days in Berlin with four casting directors — a different one every two days. Each two-day session repeats the same structure: a filmed casting, then a one-to-one general meeting, group scene work and an open Q&A.

They all run the same way: first the casting, then the meeting.

Day 1
The Casting
FilmedIn pairs

Beforehand you receive a two-character scene chosen by the casting director, and a partner from the group. Prepare it as for any professional casting, then come into the room together.

Each casting is filmed. The time in the room is the point: a real casting rarely gives you that much. Here you have time to read, be redirected, try it another way — and be seen properly.

Day 2
Meeting and Group Work
One-to-oneGroup work
  1. MorningYour one-to-one general meeting with the casting director — a conversation, not an audition.
  2. AfternoonGroup scene work with the casting director, then an open Q&A.

02Who we are

Actingwithout borders.

11:11 connects actors with international industry professionals — casting directors, agents, filmmakers, writers and showrunners — across borders, in English.

More and more international productions

Films and series are cast across countries more than ever. Actors need to be seen beyond their own market.

One room, no borders

Actors and guests from different countries meet in the same room, in English — with the time it takes to be seen properly.

A curated guest list

Every guest is chosen for their work: casting directors, agents, filmmakers, writers and showrunners working on international films and series.

07FAQ

Questions,answered.

Anything else? Write to info@1111masterclass.com.

Who can apply — and what level of English do I need?

Professional actors aged 18 or over, with intermediate English or above and at least one professional credit in film, television or theatre. You should be able to learn a text within a set time.

How does selection work?

Apply online with your CV, a headshot and a showreel or self-tape. Your application is reviewed and, if you’re selected, your place is confirmed. Then you sign your contract.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes — in two steps: a 30 % deposit, then the balance 14 days before the start. Everything is paid before the masterclass begins, except if you sign late, close to the start — then we agree the timing with you.

Can I change my mind?

Yes. After signing, you have 14 days to change your mind — use the withdrawal form included in your contract. Anything you’ve paid is refunded within 14 days.

Is the GVL grant available to me?

If you’re a performer based in Germany, yes: both masterclasses are GVL eligible. You apply yourself to zuwendung@gvl.de before the start, with the admission letter from your participant space.

Can I use my CPF?

No. The masterclasses are not eligible for the CPF, as they are not certifying courses. AFDAS and France Travail funding will come with our Qualiopi certification.

Are travel and accommodation included?

No — travel and accommodation are not included in the €1,100 and are up to you.

How big are the groups?

Small. The format is built around real time in the room: every actor is filmed in casting, redirected, and has a one-to-one general meeting.

Where does it happen?

The venue changes with each masterclass. You’ll find the exact address on each masterclass card — this season, all our masterclasses take place in Berlin.
